"Christmas Daze", "Bump in the Mist" and "Untitled Instrumental" added to the music page.

"Untitled Instrumental" is a short hip-hop track I made for a friend of mine. It'll eventually have a proper title (he's naming it), which will feature him rapping over it. In the meantime, dig the beat.

Time to plug somebody's music besides my own. The next best thing - MY BROTHER'S. Unlike my stuff, which is all digitally created, Calvin's stuff is almost exclusively live, with the digital aspect only coming into play a little bit during the layering/mastering/fine-tuning phases of a song. In the future I'll post some of his completely original works, but in light of it being Christmas month and all, I thought it most appropriate to give to you all what he's given to our family and friends.

The two albums below are all covers of classic and well-known Christmas songs. Don't let the "live" description scare you away from trying some of these out! In truth, these tracks sound nothing like your typical basement recording session. Don't let the "cover" description scare you away from trying some of these out, either! Although they work from existing material, the tracks reek (in a good way) of his own home-crafted sound and unique twists. These songs are carefully mastered for audio quality by Calvin himself, who's been a musician since before I was born (I'm 23), and his wife, who is a talented musician in her own right provides a nice flavor to many of them. A couple other members of his family also make an appearence in some of these. ;] Let's get down to business.

"Memories of Temporus" and "It's Okay to Judge" added to the music page.

So, damn. I went almost another six months without touching this site. Sorry about that. For anybody who might actually be following this page for new songs (all... two of you? Maybe?), don't worry. The lack of updates doesn't mean I haven't still been cooking shit up. I've got well over 20 songs on the backburner that are in various stages of completion (Jesus Christ I'm not joking), from short loops to nearly complete tracks. That doesn't necessarily mean that 20 new ones will be added from this 'batch' - it's likely that a lot of them will never be finished, either being abandoned altogether or having pieces of them carried over to different songs. Which leads me to one more thing...

Click here to download the scrap rack

What is the scrap rack? If the name didn't give it away already, it's a compilation of incomplete songs and snippets that I've either or abandoned or carried pieces of over to different songs. Some of them... well, you can tell why I chose not to work on them anymore. Doink. If you're a loyal follower of my tunes (haha), you might like hearing some of "what could have been." Enjoy yourselves.
